Phileine zegt sorry

Feature film, 2003, 90 min.

Romantic comedy, based on Ronald Giphart's bestseller and adapted from a script by director Robert Jan Westdijk. In the feature film, 'power babe' Phileine (played by Kim van Kooten) follows her boyfriend Max (played by Michiel Huisman) to New York. Max is an actor playing a role in an international performance of the ultimate love tragedy Romeo and Juliet. Phileine suspects Max of showing more interest in his co-star Joanne than in her. Bold Phileine refuses to put up with this. Out of jealousy, she first throws herself into the arms of Joanne's boyfriend and then disturbs the performance of the play, attracting everybody's attention. But this newly acquired fame does not bring her the happiness she had hoped for: because Max has discovered that Phileine has cheated on him, he does not want to see her anymore. They do not meet again until a gala night in New York. The film was shot in the Netherlands and New York.
