One Fine Day

Short documentary, 2012, 58 min.

A relatively minor and peaceful action can have a decisively positive impact on society. Klaas Bense meets remarkable 'normal' people from different cultures and creeds, who set individual examples, thereby triggering social change. At a medal award ceremony at the 1968 Olympics, the black American athlete John Carlos brought the Black Power salute to protest against racism. A Chilean student led the Penguin Revolution in Chile, which enabled free education for all social strata. Elsewhere, an East German clergyman, a Burmese monk and a Chinese Internetter took action. A tribute to the transformation of anger and impotence into positive energy.
