Short documentary, 2000, 54 min.

The young artist Cees Krijnen and his mother travel round the world with a performance about her divorce, the proceedings of which have been dragging on for fifteen years: the Woman in Divorce Battle Tour, which won him the 1999 Prix de Rome. At first sight, Cees's father and his new wife, complaining about the situation from their middle-class house, just seem to be a couple of sourpusses. But directors Cohen and Van Haalen gradually manage to spread their sympathy evenly among the two parties, especially by allowing Cees's father to say what is on his mind. So far, he had only heard about the art project on TV - even when it concerned him personally. He finds it hard to understand his son and prefers to tell about his own father's fame, who was a sea captain like him and once saved a few hundred shipwrecked people.
