When her mother suddenly turns blind, Liling leaves her secure existence in a Chinese metropolis to care for her mother on the small island where she grew up. Liling?s scientific approach to her mother?s blindness initially clashes with the spiritual approach of the patient herself. But Liling, too, yearns for the existence of a sixth sense, to counterbalance her existential solitude in the big city. Drama about the impossibility of essential contact between people.
