Sinners' Disease

Short documentary, 2011, 56 min.

Russia has almost one million HIV-infected people. And yet the virus is still often seen as the ?sinners? disease?. Sasha Volgina - HIV-positive and pregnant - heads a group of Russian activists protesting against the acute shortage of HIV inhibitors. In her battle, which is also vitally important for her unborn baby, Volgina contends with an indifferent government, people denying the existence of AIDS and her own history of drug abuse.
