Made in Iran

Short documentary, 2016, 27 min.

The Iranian brothers Icy and Sot create controversial, socially critical graffiti in Tabriz. When they receive an invitation to exhibit in New York, freedom and recognition beckon. The exhibition is a success, the brothers made their dream come true. But the documentary also shows the downside: If they want to stay, the two brothers will have to request political asylum and they will not be allowed to return to their native country. Is their success in New York worth it? And does their work still have the meaning it had in Iran?
