Co-production between NPS and the theatre group Zuidelijk Toneel is a TV drama about getting older and the resulting confrontation with death. In Thuisfront, Martin (53) finds himself in a crisis after his retirement and his mother's death soon after. Not understood by his working wife and his children, who are not always so sweet, he cherishes three inherited dresses as relics in his quiet home and in the empty apartment of his mother he finds solace with Lucia, his daughter's girlfriend. Until she makes a startling revelation and his crisis takes a miraculous turn.
