For half a century now, Rotterdam-based poet and performer Jules Deelder has been one of the most iconic performance artists in the Netherlands. In his documentary, Bob Visser depicts the ageing protagonist who is always dressed in black. Gradually, it becomes clear who this man is that always hides behind the well-known butterfly glasses. In addition, the film focuses on the relationship between Deelder and his daughter Ari and between Deelder and the filmmaker himself.
