Reis zonder einde

Documentary, 1995, 85 min.

Documentary about the consequences of the war for three generations of women. Charlotte Cohen and het mother were taken in early 1944 to the concentration camp Bergen-Belsen. In sight of liberation, most of the prisoners at Bergen-Belsen were put in trains. For fourteen days, Charlotte and her mother crossed Germany, back and forth. In the village of Troebitz the 'lost transport' came to a halt. There were liberated and given temporary accomodation. Years after the war, Charlotte's traumas have their influence on the life of het daughter. She has never been in a camp, but knows the misery from the inside. With four other ex-camp victims, mother and daughter travel by train to Bergen-Belsen and Troebitz. For all of them it is a journey with no end in sight.
