Punki en Ganshyam, een tweeling in India

Short documentary, 1989, 26 min.

Of Indian twins, the boy Ganshyam is allowed to attend school, because he is a boy. The girl Punki has to help her mother collect and dry manure for the oven, sweep the yard and bake cookies. No matter how badly she wants it, she is not welcome at school. When one day Ganshyam goes to the market with his father to sell his pottery, Punki sees her chance: dressed as a boy, she goes to her brother's school.
