Famous documentary, subtitled: Memories of Holland in the period 1938-1948. Based on interviews with citizens, the film presents an image of the crisis years, the briefly thriving economy from 1938, W.W. II and the decolonisation of Indonesia. Not the official authorities were introduced for a change, but ordinary people. Another innovation was the use of amateur footage, in addition to known historical footage.
