A lonely ten-year-old boy spends his days with his collection of giant cockroaches, that he wants to save from extinction like a modern Noah. One day he meets an old man he would love to have as a friend. However the old man is driven to distraction by the boy, because the child keeps thwarting his suicide attempts.
