Among underprivileged, illegal aliens in the United States, youngsters are enlisted into the American army. In practice, the promise of a legal existence to the young servicemen and their families often turns out to be false. This feature film shows the consequences for a poor Latino family, in a neighbourhood where crime is the only other option to survive. The story is told from different perspectives, including that of young Angel, who sees his dreams and love evaporate.
