Krima-Kerime

Feature film, 1995, 90 min.

Documentary-style feature about the impossible love between a Turkish girl and a Dutch boy, against the background of the social problems of our time. An angel is given 90 minutes to make a film demonstrating that humanity is worth being saved from destruction. Her film describes an interracial romance destroyed by abuse of power and treachery in an incurably evil outside world. Krima-Kerime has parallels with Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliette and comments on TV channel surfing, the 'fourth world' in Holland, the attacks of scientists on out fragile position in the universe and the collective urge to destroy all life on earth.
