This children's film is a remake of the Dutch film In Oranje, about 12-year-old Gilles, whose life is dominated by soccer. When his father passes away, he loses his most fanatical supporter and personal coach. When in addition he hears that due to an ailment he is no longer allowed to play soccer, his world collapses. He keeps this from his mother and gets further and further into a jam. A quest for independence and a life without a father.
