Eight-year-old Bruno helps his father Daan shave. Daan also shaves off his hair; otherwise it will be covered in sand during his army mission to Uruzgan. Bruno is full of questions during this intimate father-son moment. Is Daan afraid? When will he come back? How does one fire forward? He bears up well, like a tough boy. In an impassioned game with his toy soldiers, he expresses his feelings.
