Misfit is about Julia (Djamila) who returns to the Netherlands after a long stay in the United States. In America she was the most popular girl in her high school, but here in the Netherlands she is a 'Misfit', an outsider. Her life at school is turned into a hell by the three most popular girls. If the chance arises to return to America, she will take it with both hands, even if she has to lead a complicated double life at school. Her infatuation with a boy makes everything even more complicated and asks her the question: does she really want to go back or does she want to stay?
