-, 2011, 50 min.

Normally, jackals and hyenas coexist peacefully. But when the gazelles have calves, this changes. With their keen smell, jackals trace the young animals, and the much bigger spotted hyenas steal their prey. Jackals are not easily intimidated, but when the vultures also try to seize the opportunity, things can go wrong.Nature film shows the struggle for life of a pack of jackals looking for food for their cubs. Many of the exceptional images have been shot by Dutch cameraman Anton van Munster, who passed away in 2009. Commissioned by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision.
