Short Film, 1963, 15 min.

A young man in the Dutch polder landscape. Stretches of grass, cloudy skies, panoramas, the cattle and the birds. The young man enjoys the vast space and the serenity and tries to capture that feeling. But the Dutch climate takes revenge. A thunderstorm erupts. The bare landscape offers no shelter. The environment now takes on a hostile attitude and the charm of the polder disappears. The vastness now becomes oppressive. The film was selected for the competition at the Cannes film festival.
