After Nadat Boughédirs first feature Halfaouine came out in 1990, it was six years before he completed part two of his trilogy about his youth. In Un été à la Goulette he returns to the year 1967, on the eve of the Six-Day War. It is a light-hearted film about the experiences of a Jewish, a Christian and an Arab family.
