In this significant montage, astonishing views of the Dutch sky that were recorded using a 70mm panoramic camera mounted atop a fighter jet are positioned alongside landscapes painted by Dutch artists. And not only the well-known Dutch skies by the painters of the Golden Age: Mondriaan’s rigid blocks of color also resonate through the seemingly endless, brightly colored tulip fields.
