Although the gynaecologists have established that her unborn baby is not viable due to various complicated abnormalities, she believes that the Lord Jesus will make sure the baby is healthy. A faith healer engages in a battle with the devil and orders Dorien to ask forgiveness for even thinking about the baby's death. If nevertheless things go wrong, the cause lies in unbelief, in admitting Satan. Dorien ignores the doctors' sad diagnosis. She goes out to buy a layette with her husband. By allowing people to film her, she hopes to give testimony. Meanwhile, the outcome is known: Dorien reads excerpts from letters to her son Jens, who died prematurely. Even when the baby dies shortly after the delivery in the hospital, her husband and the prayers are confident that God will breathe new life into the child. Only when Jens has been buried, they try to accept that God chose differently.
