When Europe was confronted in 2014 by a huge wave of asylum seekers, a Dutch village with 150 inhabitants was lumbered with an asylum center for 1400 people from Africa and the Middle East. The residents protested in vain. Fascinated by the interaction between people from different cultures, the filmmakers followed the ups and downs within the village until the closure of the center in 2017. Nobody expected how things would subsequently turn out...
