A new day dawns in a quiet village in the south of Limburg. A rather timid teenager gets ready for his first day in the mine. In this animation, we follow his bicycle ride to his new workplace, his first introduction to colleagues and the descent to the galleries deep underground. There, the perpetual darkness and deafening work noise compose a symphony of new impressions.
