De Rijn van Lobith tot aan zee
Together with the director of the Rotterdam School Cinema A. M. van der Wel, Polygoon cameraman Isidor Arras Ochse went down the Rhine River by ship in 1922 to make an impression of life on the river and in the villages and towns they passed. The film had to make students aware of the importance of this great Dutch waterway. By means of maps, the film shows where the filmmakers shot their images and how different rivers and canals are connected. To make the film extra appealing to school kids, Ochse and Van der Wel filmed many children on their expedition.
