With Bestiaire, filmmaker, photographer, artist, writer, musician and animal lover Chris Marker made a short trilogy of video haikus. In this first part, his beloved cat Guillaume-en-Egypte is featured. In Marker’s words: 'Guillaume-en-Egypte was very fond of Ravel’s compositions (as any cat is), but he had a special soft spot for the Catalan composer Mompou. One sunny day, I put the first part of Mompou’s collected works in the CD player, to do him a favour.
