A film which tries to break the taboo surrounding the domestic maltreatment of women. The story begin with animations on the prospects young girls have on marriage, followed by the truth, which in this case turns out in battery by her husband. The historic overview gives insight in the existence of women maltreatment and the way society has looked upon this throughout the years. The final part of the film focuses on the existence of homes for battered women, where women can escape to with their children.
