To Stay Alive - A Method Documentary film, 2016, 70 min.

In his sun-drenched garden in Miami, Iggy Pop reads Michel Houellebecq’s manifesto To Stay Alive - a method. The singer recognises his own arduous first years as a person and as an artist in it. How can it be that this ‘advice to a young poet’ applies so strongly to him too? In his quest for the answer to this question, Pop gets acquainted with the people from Houellebecq’s world, like the psychotic poet Anne-Claire and street artist Dominique. In an encounter with the writer himself, the two discuss each other’s work and motivation.
