Mrs. F. Documentary film, 2018, 90 min.

IN PRODUCTION. Can a theater performance in a Nigerian slum break the culture of silence about women's violence and oppression? Ifeoma Fafunwa, aka Mrs. F., takes up the challenge of staging her play Hear Word! about the abuse of women in male-dominated Makoko slum, Lagos. Mrs. F. casts Nigeria’s most acclaimed actresses as well as the young women of Makoko, and connects with them via her own personal struggle with her background. Can Ifeoma set in motion a transformation in the heart of the fastest growing city in the world that breaks from the culture of silence in Nigeria?
