De kassière - Lily Was Here Feature film, 1989, 115 min.

Dreamy check-out girl is made pregnant by a black GI. After he is murdered by racists, she decides to support her child by robbing banks and stores. The only ones who seem to understand her are the midwife Monique van de Ven and the student drop-out Thom Hoffman. The film was a hit, partly thanks to the soundtrack by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics and the title song that Stewart played with Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer.
